Both Reginae Carter and her mom Toya Wright commemorated two years since Toya’s two brothers have been killed. Rudy and Josh will always be remembered by their family and friends.

‘We miss you guys. So much. Today makes 2 Years since I heard Rudy laugh or seen Josh smile. It’s hard losing someone who means so much to you, but it gives me peace in my heart knowing you guys are in a better place. I love y’all so much. #justice4rudyandjosh’ Reginae captioned her photo that she shared on Instagram.

‘You know what they say you don’t know how it feels till it hit home true I lost a nephew to gun violence two weeks ago and this shit hurts like hell so I feel you @colormenae may god bring us justice 🙏🏽’ one of her followers said.

Toya also posted a few pics with her late brothers, captioning the post with the following message:

‘God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. 🙏🏾 7/31’

Toya’s followers felt bad for her and tried to encourage her how they knew best.

‘This is so heartbreaking @toyawright you love your brothers like I do I feel your pain I use to rush home to see your TV show all the time be strong baby they are still with you I love you all 😘💘🙏’ one fan posted.

Someone else with a broken heart also asked Toya for advice while going through a really hard situation: ‘@toyawright I just recently lost my nephew, my sister first born. We miss him so much. It just feels like a dream. Like it can’t be true. My heart just aches. It’s so hard losing someone you love so much. The pain will never go away. How did your family cope with the loss of your brothers? Will it ever get better ?’

Our thoughts and prayers go to all the people who have lost someone dear to them. Time doesn’t heal wounds in this case, but it helps you cope bit by bit.
